If They Came To Hear Me Beg - 25 G
Performed an Assassination against an Elite to survive a fall that would’ve been fatal.
For those none Halo junkies, this achievement requires that you make your character sprint off a cliff. Line up with a target that will move at any random time, and requires perfect timing with a series of button presses. In addition it is possible that the achievement is glitched. Oh and if you land on top of your foe you also miss out on the achievement.
Take a few minutes to explore the forums. The young guys, and overweight gals, complain that it took them forever to get this achievement, a whole 50 times in some cases. *Death stare* How many times have I tried? We’re not going to talk about it. Damn you Halo and damn your achievements.
thanks to Stephen Goldmeier for the idea

Easter just got better
Borderlands proposal if she doesn’t say yes she is heartless
Christmas. The season where everyone is running through shops buying up every present in sight. Why do they do this? To celebrate the birth of the most influential being to ever live. Our entire calendar is based on his birth, for His sake!! But if you think about it being born isn’t much of an achievement. My glue eating neighbor was able to pull that one off.
What made Jesus so amazing was his ability to concur death itself and rise from the grave. To top it all off he came back with out having an incurable desire for BRAAAAIIIINNNSSSSS!!!! Pretty freakin’ impressive. So how to celebrate this achievement? You go to the grandparents, and get the following speech from grandpa: “Hey boy! I dropped some candy in the bushes. If you fin’ it you can ea’ it.” Ah Easter, Here’s to another year of finding an egg full off….. Wait what’s in this one?…… Peggy you always hide the eggs. what was in the ones by the fence? ….. I haven’t hid one there in about 5 years…… oh….. I should go throw up….

Many of us remember our good old GI Joe toys. Go ahead and raise your hand if you owned your fair share of Joe’s and Cobra Operatives. I not only had the regular (action figure sized) Joe’s; I even had the full sized Joe’s. You remember these guys. These where the ones that were a foot high had the larger guns designed to punch Barbie’s Ken right in his pink Mercedes. Go ahead raise your hand again if you’re right there with me (or massage that shoulder if you never put it down the first time). Keep your hand up if you just got an image of how a Barbie doll and a kick ass full size Joe have the same dimensions. Keep that hand up if you just now remembered that in order to get Joe ready for a winter Cobra hunt he had to switch his camo and weapon lay out. How many times did you have to raid Ken’s house to get your Joe clothes back? How many of you just realized that getting Joe ready for combat is no different than getting Barbie and Ken ready for their date? How many of you just had a plummet of spirits as, for the first time in your life, you realized you played with dolls? Now let that hand drop like your self-esteem. Time to go clean off those now tarnished memories.
This is my nerd-verse. I made this blog for a variety of reasons which are listed below. They are in no particular order, but if you think they should be ordered differently you’ll probably be right in which ever order you come up with.
PS you can thank David Eddy for any grammar corrections. My English skills are (admittedly) lacking and I’m usually too lazy to do any grammar corrections. I’ll work on it. However please call me out on any corrections that need to be made. I’d rather my blog not get confused for that of a third grader’s.
Reason #1:
The tale starts with me repeatedly reading IGN articles and reviews. Often times my personal opinion differs from theirs. I doubt I’ll get many arguments there. Although I won’t deny that there is a slight hope this blog will develop a following and propel my media opinionated career to my own section on IGN or Game Informer. Don’t worry I am realistic in understanding that this will likely never happen. (“likely” there goes the vain hope again.) This is most likely the smallest reason on the list. However If I were to not at least mention this influence; I would easily be accused of being a liar (and left with no defense.) So in order to achieve my goal of being paid to play games and write my opinions, a Blog was born…
Reason #2:
This is one of the larger reasons. My programming class is really just “stay awake” practice. It gets so bad I routinely catch my professor talking with his eyes closed and face directed toward the top corner of the room. There is only so many times I can read through the same web pages. So to occupy my time, a Blog was born…
Reason #3:
I like browsing forums. I dislike reading any posts that are longer than a line. I hate to repost something that was already said. In the forum-verse a post made; quickly disappears in one of the 20 pages that any good topic will generate. The number of posts on a topic and my desire to add a post are inversely related. Thus leaving me with something to say but nowhere to say it. So to give myself some retail space for my opinions to be displayed, a Blog was born…
Reason #4
Ok this is really number one part 2, however creating a number four was easier than changing the “various reasons” to “three reasons.” It is also filler until I remember what the other reasons I had were. But alas I digress. I really want a way to share my true feelings about my various media experiences. Hopefully inspire friends and family to check out some of my new and old favorites.
I have drawn a blank on all the other reasons for this blog as well as the blurb that was going to be this filler section. *Memory Fail* Well they must have been made up facsimiles to extend this first section of the blog and nothing important or interesting. So blah blah blah a Blog was born…. That closing line just seems cheesy now.
The Plan
Home - I hope to develop and maintain multiple sections on this blog. The original plan was to create multiple pages. However I learned that Tumblr only allows additional pages to be static pages. For those not in the know, static pages are pages that hold a set amount of info. You can’t like or follow a post that is located on a static page. The idea then came to me to create multiple blogs. But then to link all of them together would be a pain. Not to mention I want people to follow my blog not a piece of my blog. So each of these “pages” will really just be the first part of each blog’s title. If you’re interested in any one section over the others hit search or use the tag for each page. ex “iTune it up” will be a tag. If I get motivated in the future I may still separate them out and re-blog each one to it’s proper home. The home page will then be a collection of the various posts holding the most recent ones and ones that don’t fit in any of the other categories.
Uploading Memories - A throw back to all of the old toys, games, and experiences from my childhood. This will definitely be a grab bag of posts with the only real connection being me.
New Save Created - This is my area for video game reviews. The plan is to develop a list of the Top 3 Pros and Cons for each game. The rest will follow a rating system laid out by IGN (Presentation, Graphics, Sound, Game Play, and Lasting Appeal) Each will be ranked out of 10 and for the final score the individual sections will be averaged. Thus leaving the (not so) coveted perfect 10 only for the flawless game. However these reviews will mostly prove useless because they will not be posted for months (many times years) after the game originally came out. But it will at least be fun for a bit and I can start telling my friends “For the full written review head on over to my Blog.”
Loading - Similar to New Save Created this page is focused around the gaming industry. This is where you will find the game/movie previews, the tech previews, and all things game industry related that I am excited for, nervous about, and comments on recent trends.
Achievement Locked - <Sigh> My name is Chip and I’m a gaming addict and an Achievement/Trophy whore </Sigh> (Two points to whoever saw all the layers of that joke.) I promise this is the last page dedicated to gaming. This is where all of my frustrations for the impossible Achievements in gaming can be voiced. And occasionally the ones I am very proud of.
Get Reel - This is all about the movies I have seen and the reviews for them. This again will be modeled off of the 5 star system of IGN and the top marks will only be claimed by the flawless film. This may spread to TV episodes and series as well, but this is doubtful.
Coming Soon - This is my home for movie and TV previews. This is my collection of all things that I am excited for.
Caught in the Web - Yes I know 1,000 blogs already exist based on videos and pics found around the inter-webs. I also realize that this is the one area I don’t really care about because I don’t browse that many of those token websites of funny pics. However when I find one I want to share it and the posts will come (occasionally.)
iTune it up - This is my music page. Music that I am listening to. Concerts that I’ve been to and all things music related.
New on my Shelf - This is for all things book related. Reviews and previews alike. I love to read but I am a slow reader so don’t expect this to be updated too often.
Did you actually read all of that? Because I really got bored typing it. This post is really just the user manual for the rest of the blog. But thanks for reading and be sure to like any of my posts and please follow.
